Hello! I am Danae Riley, This is my 8th year teaching at Wahpeton Elementary in 4th grade. I graduated from MSU Moorhead in 2013 with a bachelor's degree in elementary education and a minor in special education. I also swam all four years while I was at MSUM. I am currently working on my Master's Degree in Educational Leadership. I got married in 2020 and we have a beautiful baby girl, Addison. She was born January 7, 2023. My husband and I also have two dogs. They are German Shorthaired Pointers, one named Cedric (6) and one named Ranger (10). My favorite thing about teaching is helping students learn new things and have hands on experience with science activities. 

Hello! I am Laken Miranowski. This is my 5th year teaching, and my 4th year teaching at WES. I graduated from VCSU in 2019 with a degree in elementary education. I am currently working towards getting my Masters in Educational Leadership from NDSU and will graduate this May. In the winter, I help coach the Wahpeton Lady Huskies basketball team.  My husband, Travis, and I got married in June and are expecting our first baby in March. We have two dogs, Natty (3) and Cruiser (3). My favorite thing about teaching is building relationship with students and helping them learn something new every day.

Hello! I'm April Johnson. I teach fourth grade ELA, writing, and social studies. This is my 7th year teaching and 4th year in the Wahpeton school district. I am originally from Breckenridge and I live in Wahpeton with my husband, Dylan, two children, Landon and Ava, and our three cats, Charlie, Rosie, and Lola. I attended Minnesota State University Moorhead. I received my Bachelor's of Science in Elementary Inclusive Education with a minor in Psychology and I completed my Masters in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in literacy. In my free time, I enjoy spending time at the lake, reading, riding bike, and golfing.

Hello! I am Alyssa Fuhrman. This is my second-year teaching fourth grade! I graduated from MSU Moorhead with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Inclusive Education. I also teach dance at KrAz and am the director of the Wahpeton Youth Club program in the summer! I have two daughters, Jade and Ivory, and we have a cat named Luna! Luna’s nickname is “Lunatic” because she is crazy! My favorite thing about teaching is building relationships and watching them grow and learn throughout the year!

Hi, I'm Cruiser! I spend half of my day in Mrs. Miranowski's fourth grade classroom. I spend the other half of my day in the middle school. This is my 1st year in the elementary school but my 3rd year at Wahpeton Public Schools! I am there to help people feel better when they are sad or upset. I live with Mrs. Miranowski. I love to play outside with Natty and go to the lake!
